QUEENS, N.Y., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Resorts World closed out the summer with a sold-out Labor Day weekend across two of its New York properties, headlined by world famous comedians Tracy Morgan, Chris Distefano and Deon Cole. In Queens, it was the first major entertainment weekend at Resorts World New York City since the property opened New York City’s first live table games in April, and the opening of a headliner calendar that runs through the fall and into 2027.

Distefano, the Ridgewood native, played a hometown set in the borough that raised him. Morgan, who grew up in Brooklyn and the Bronx, played both ends of the Resorts World footprint, headlining Resorts World Catskills on Saturday and Resorts World New York City on Sunday. Upstate, Deon Cole closed out the weekend at Resorts World Catskills, where fireworks, live music, DJ sets and a weekend of food trucks and local vendors filled out three days of programming.

Off the stages, Resorts World New York City turned the weekend into three nights of private dining and late-night programming in Queens. Hosted by Nas across all three nights, the invitation-only Resorts World New York City Private Dining series brought three of the city’s most sought-after restaurants to the property for one night each, with Carmelo Anthony joining as a guest on Friday and Tracy Morgan on Sunday.

  • Friday, September 4: Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi. The Lincoln Center restaurant, named the No. 1 restaurant in New York City by The New York Times in 2023, draws on Caribbean, African, Black American and New York influences in what Onwuachi has described as a love letter to the city.
  • Saturday, September 5: Don Angie. A 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist from husband-and-wife chefs Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli, the Michelin-starred West Village restaurant is known for its pinwheel lasagna and inventive takes on Italian-American classics, and remains one of New York’s hardest tables to get nearly a decade after opening.
  • Sunday, September 6: Coqodaq. From the team behind Michelin-starred COTE, Coqodaq pairs Korean fried chicken with Champagne and caviar in a high-energy room The New Yorker called “the ungettable table of early 2024.”

Saturday night ran late at 3Q, where a guest-list-only party brought Remy Ma, Fabolous and Max B to the stage alongside DJ Clue and DJ Webstar from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The 3Q Blue Room was open throughout the weekend with a Resorts World specialty cocktail menu.

“When we opened the first live table games New York City has ever had in April, we said it was the start of something bigger. This weekend showed what that means. Two of the biggest names in comedy, sold-out rooms from Queens to the Catskills, and thousands of New Yorkers finding a night out like this right at home,” said Kevin Jones, President of Genting Americas East. “We have a calendar that keeps building through the fall and into 2027, and this weekend was just the beginning.”

The weekend opens a run of headliner entertainment at both properties through the fall and into 2027. Genting Rewards members receive first access to every show on the calendar. Membership is free and available at https://rwnewyork.com/

The entertainment lineup caps a year of rapid expansion in Queens. In April 2026, Resorts World New York City opened 242 live table games, including blackjack, craps, baccarat and roulette, alongside 2,507 commercial casino slots. In July, just three months after the grand opening, Resorts World broke ground on Phase 2 of its $5.5 billion investment in the site. Phase 2 includes a 400-room hotel tower adjoining the current Hyatt Regency, the Kenny “The Jet” Smith Sports and Media Complex, a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena, 1,200 additional hotel rooms under the luxury Crockfords brand, a central plaza and a state-of-the-art parking garage. The full expansion is projected to create 10,000 jobs, including an estimated 5,000 union construction jobs, and will add 2 million square feet of new gaming, entertainment, dining, retail and convention space to the existing one-million-square-foot property.
